THE SPACE IN BETWEEN 

A Collaborative Dance Company & Movement Research Laboratory initiated in 2018 by Anna Katalin Nemeth Hungarian dancer and choreographer.

 

Collaborative - the company sees itself as a creative space where the trust in sharing of knowledge and the wish to inspire are the base. The Company and so the work grows through encounters and exchanges in the rhythm of the natural flow of life. The company stands for the collaborative way of development and  so supports the encounters of artists, institutions and individuals from various backgrounds to create complicity between different disciplines and eras to research, reflect and develop artistic work.  

 

Research - a never ending investment through dance and movement, towards the development of the creative and healthy body of each individual.

Encouraging taking authorship for itself, both in the artistic as in the human values. Raising awareness of the interconnectedness and due for common responsibilities in society.

Education - in forms of workshops or regular classes The Space In Between_Solo_ and _Duo_ gives access to everybody to study the connections between their own physicality, emotional states, mind sets and the flow of creativity and happiness through dance and movement. 

The education is addressed to groups

> for dance, circus, theatre and performance art professionals and professional students

> for ALL - movement interested individuals in an OPEN LEVEL scenario

> for any groups who identify themselves as minority groups 

Creation - all creation process of THE SPACE IN BETWEEN is unique

and has its own character. The works move on a wide range from movement installation, through photography, dance art movie exhibition, street shows to stage performances.

The focus of all the activities - research, education, creation -, is about offering access to the basic human rights of health and happiness through movement, to empower human connections, to resist all forms of oppression, to create space for integration and the discussion of the philosophical questions of freedom through dance and art.
